Definition: Included in plans with emergency medical benefits, Global Doctor Visits provide urgent care for non-emergency medical issues while traveling. Use the Allyz® app to find a nearby, pre-screened provider and make an appointment, whether in person or via telehealth.

Your benefits can cover consultation fees for up to three visits. Should you incur additional costs for care, such as for prescriptions, you can file a claim with Allianz for reimbursement. (Global Doctor Visits are a service provided by Air Doctor and are not available in all countries. See a current list of destinations here.)

Example: While visiting Cartagena, Colombia, you come down with a respiratory infection. At first, it’s just an annoyance—but your cough keeps getting worse, and it’s ruining your trip. In the Allyz® app, you use the Global Doctor Visits feature to schedule an appointment with an English-speaking provider nearby. She diagnoses bronchitis, prescribes some medication to treat it, and helps arrange pickup at a nearby pharmacy. Within a few days, you’re feeling well enough to go salsa dancing.
